Custom Meat Processing
Black Earth Meats is a classic meat locker, with on-site slaughter offering custom processing for beef, pork, buffalo, elk, farmed deer, sheep and goats. We offer dry-aging for steers, and basic cut-wrap-freeze processing. We are a USDA facility, and have our organic certification from the Iowa Department of Agriculture.
Our highly skilled personnel specially cut and process the meat -- by hand -- to meet your specifications. We pride ourselves in processing meat in the best quality fashion, the same way we would like it cut for our own families. All of our cuts are well-trimmed and packaged, then flash-frozen for maximum preservation of nutrients and flavor.
Our processing procedure includes cutting, freezer wrapping, freezing and boxing. We take special care to insure your property is secure and processed in a clean environment by experienced professionals in our USDA-inspected facility.
For those looking to sell at farmers’ markets or directly to restaurants and groceries, we will work with you on your packaging and presentation, and can help supplement your products with equivalent meat from our suppliers.
